To follow up on the petition sent to Atty Federico Mandapat, regional Director of the Department of Transportation and Communications eary January this year, I heared that the PUJ fare for the Sagada-Bontoc route was finally eased down to 40.00 for the general public, and 35.00 for students and senior citizens.
So it is a relief to know that petitions could do something. Around 50 petitioners signed the petition sent to Atty Mandapat December last year, asking DOTC/LTFRB to intervene in lowering the transportation rate of the 18-kilometer Sagada-Bontoc road. Its good the Sagada Operators and Drivers Association (SODA) finally lessened the rate 5.00 lower more than the rate they eased down late November last year.
